On the 17th April there was a Public Meeting on Anglo American and Rio Tinto.

Before the meeting, campaigners from Free West Papua Campaign, War On Want , Friends of the Earth, PARTiZANS (People against Rio Tinto and its Subsidiaries), and other activists and musicians gathered outside the Rio Tinto Plc AGM.

Mining giant Rio Tinto is still accused of human rights abuses and causing environmental devastation in places such as West Papua, Argentina, Colombia, South Africa and the US.
